Structural Timber has been used to build houses and commercial structures for many years. Two types of Timber are Hardwood and Softwood, Hardwood is structurally strong and high strength and Softwoods are used in general framing where structurally strength isn't needed to be as strong.
Applications- perfect for many framing, lintel and external applications. As a hardwood, it is more durable and hard-wearing than a softwood such as pine. It's structural rating means it has the strength to withstand rough treatment.
Applications- perfect for Floor joists for houses and commercial floors and roof rafters & purlins for houses and commercial systems (suited to low pitch applications)
Applications- Used as rafters, beams, lentils and floor joists.
Applications- Used for structural beams, floor joists, lintels and bearers.
